Rt. Hon. David Davis MP

Warwick Alumnus, the Rt Hon David Davis, is the Honorary Chairman of the University of Warwick Conservative Association.

David studied at the University of Warwick from 1968 to 1971. During this time, alongside being involved in the Association, he was one of the founding members of the radio station, Radio at Warwick. In 1973, David was National Chairman of the confederation of Conservative Students.

Entering Parliament in 1987, he has gone on to assume the roles of shadow home secretary and Minister of State at the Foreign Office. Subsequently, he contested the Party leadership against David Cameron, having launched his leadership campaign at the University of Warwick itself.

Under Theresa May’s new government, David Davis will head up the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union in a new role as ‘Brexit Minister’.
